Consumer protection - take advantage of the advice offered by the Baden-Württemberg Consumer Advice Centre

Verbraucherzentrale Baden-Württemberg e. V. provides independent and neutral advice and information on the following topics, among others:

  • Building and housing
  • Energy
  • Health and care
  • Food and nutrition, cosmetics, hygiene
  • Telecommunications, digital world, consumer law
  • Insurance
  • Travel and mobility
  • Environment and household

Note: The Consumer Advice Centre Baden-Württemberg has the authority to issue warnings and take legal action. This means that it can also take legal action against infringements of the law (e.g. competition law, general terms and conditions) in order to enforce consumer interests.

Prerequisite

  • You are a private end consumer.
  • Your question relates to an existing contractual relationship with commercial suppliers or to the preparation of such a relationship
  • You are accused of having a contractual relationship with a provider ("subcontracted contract").
  • Your enquiry can be assigned to one of the possible areas of advice.

Tip: You can find a detailed description of the advisory services on the website of the consumer advice centre. There you can also read which areas are excluded from counselling.

Procedure

You can reach the information and appointment hotline of the consumer advice centre Monday to Thursday between 10 am and 6 pm and on Fridays from 10 am to 2 pm by calling 0711 66 91 10.
You can use this number to find out which advice service is right for you and make an appointment directly for a personal consultation.

Appointments can also be made online.

The consumer advice centre offers online and video advice as well as advice via email and telephone.
