Integration courses for late repatriates

Late repatriates can attend the integration courses organised by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees free of charge. The structure of the courses consists of two parts:

  • General integration course with 600 teaching units (UE) or special integration courses (literacy course 900 - 1200 UE, integration course for people with low literacy 900 - 1200 UE, integration course for second language learners 900 UE, integration course for people with disabilities 900 UE, intensive course 400 UE)
  • Orientation course with 100 units to impart knowledge of the law, culture, history and values in Germany

Late repatriates aged 14 and over can take part in the "Travelling together: identity, recognition, encounters" courses. The course language is German. Participation in courses is only possible for each person up to a total of 200 teaching units. Several courses can be applied for and organised per measure. A course can comprise 50, 100 or 200 teaching units (TU). One teaching unit corresponds to 45 minutes. The contents of the module catalogue are developed in the course. The module catalogue is divided into mandatory basic modules, elective modules and free modules or freely designable modules and covers the following topics:
